Jewelry Care
Jewelry Care
Your favourite pieces deserve a little love.
At Two Cities, we believe jewelry should be worn, loved, and lived in. With a little care, your pieces can continue looking beautiful for years to come.
Know Your Materials
Gold Plated Stainless Steel
Made for everyday adventures. Our gold plated stainless steel pieces are water-resistant, durable, and designed to keep up with your daily routine.
You can wear these pieces in the shower or while swimming. To help maintain their shine, we recommend rinsing them with fresh water after exposure to chlorine or saltwater and drying them thoroughly.
Gold Vermeil
A little extra luxury. Our gold vermeil pieces feature a thicker layer of gold plating over sterling silver.
While occasional water exposure is generally fine, we recommend removing these pieces before showering, swimming, or spending extended periods in water to help preserve their beautiful finish.
Gold Plated Brass
Beautiful pieces that appreciate a little extra care. To maintain their finish, we recommend keeping gold plated brass jewelry away from water, perfumes, lotions, and other chemicals.
Remove these pieces before showering, swimming, or exercising.
Everyday Care Tips
- Last on, first off. Apply perfumes, lotions, and skincare before putting on your jewelry.
- Keep it clean. Gently wipe your pieces with a soft, dry cloth to remove oils and everyday buildup.
- Store with care. Keep jewelry in a dry place, ideally stored in your Two Cities pouch separately to prevent scratching and tangling.
- Be mindful of chemicals. Chlorine, cleaning products, and harsh chemicals can affect jewelry finishes over time.
- Give your pieces a little rest. For gold vermeil and gold plated brass, removing jewelry before bed or water activities can help extend the life of the plating.
A Little Love Goes a Long Way
Every piece has its own story, and we want yours to be part of it for as long as possible.
